We would like to announce that Sunstar Foundation For Oral Health Promotion changed its status to a general incorporated foundation on April 1, 2011 as our application for change of status submitted in accordance with the laws concerning reform of public interest corporations effective December 2008 was duly processed and approved by the Prime Minster of Japan. In tandem with this, the Foundation changed its name to Sunstar Foundation.

Under the new status and new name, the Foundation expands activities beyond oral care and strives to further contribute to the betterment of society through the promotion of health management and disease prevention for the head and neck as well as the entire body mainly from the perspective of metabolism, while keeping an eye on science and technology trends, with special attention paid to the advancement of medical and therapeutic technologies.

In order to guide the recently growing health awareness of people in the right direction, the Foundation also aims to contribute to the enhancement of scientific literacy of Japanese people by fostering individuals who are interested in science and have respect for those involved in the science field.
