About Stefania
Stefania Morittu, RDH, graduated in Dental Hygiene from the University of Cagliari in 2012, with an experimental thesis on the bidirectional correlation between periodontal disease and Diabetes Mellitus. She subsequently completed an annual advanced course in implantology and periodontology at the Federico II University of Naples (2014), a Level I Master's in Pathology of Non-Plaque-Induced Gingival Mucous Mucosa at the University of Turin (2022–2023), a Master's in Oral Hygiene and Prevention in Pediatric Age at the Tuscan Stomatological Institute, and a Master's in Oral Health Management in Special Needs Patients at Sapienza University of Rome.
She is the creator of the "Oral Hygiene in Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy" guide, recognised with a social responsibility award for empowering women's oral and general health, and the creator of a children's book series on MIH, enamel lesions and teeth stains.
She is an AIRO award winner for her work on oral manifestations in paediatric patients with systemic diseases and personalised educational protocols. She also develops training courses for nursing home healthcare workers, runs prevention projects in schools and prenatal settings, co-authored guides on oral hygiene during pregnancy and fibromyalgia, and volunteers at the OndaRosa women and children anti-violence centre.
